โฆ Synopsis
CONFERENCE SYNOPSYS
The conference objective is to address the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of heat transfer and fluid flow in microscale. Recent development of industrial applications like microelectronics, laser systems, micro-heat exchangers, micro-devices (sensors and actuators), and power MEMS have led to studies dealing with microscopic behaviour of thermal phenomena. Main areas of interest:
Heat transfer (single-phase, boiling, condensation) Fluid flow (single-and two-phase flow) Two-phase flow (flow modes, visualization) Advanced miniaturized systems (micro heat pipe, micro heat exchanger, micro reformer, micro combustor) Power MEMS (micro engines, micro batteries, micro fuel cells, micro pumps) Experimental measurement techniques (accuracy and precision) Micro sensors and micro actuators
The presence of specialists coming from academia and industry will be a fair opportunity to promote interesting exchanges in advanced experimental and theoretical techniques and to go deep into the knowledge of thermal phenomena related to microscale level.

Heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics are investigated here using experimental and analytical techniques for a dimple plate heat exchanger. The analysis uses the log mean temperature difference method (LMTD) in all its calculations. Whilest the shell side flow highly resembles the flow ove
## Abstract Experiments were conducted to investigate flow and heat transfer characteristics of water in rectangular microchannels. All tests were performed with deionized water. The flow rate, the pressures, and temperatures at the inlet and outlet were measured. The friction factor, heat flux, an
