In 2010, the Teratology Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The society was founded at a meeting on April 10, 1960, in New York, following an informal planning discussion held one year earlier by Drs. F. Clarke Fraser, Josef Warkany, and James Wilson, who delineated the need for such an organization.
