✦ Synopsis
In this paper, a fiber coupling method is presented to analyze the fiber-optic ¨elocity interferometric system for any reflector ( ) optic VISAR , and the system has been de¨eloped. Optic VISAR is applied to measure the ¨elocity profile of a diffusely reflecting surface; the experimental results fit the theory analyses fairly well. The oscillation on the ¨elocity profile clearly shows a dispersion effect, which is the first to be obtained for such a low shocking measurement by VISAR.
