Abstract
Fertilization of R. clamitans eggs in their native jelly occurred when inseminated with high concentrations of R. catesbeiana sperm. Contrary to previous evidence, the block to cross‐fertilization of the R. clamitans × R. catesbeiana hybrids may form in nature.
