✦ Synopsis

It is shown that in nonequilibrium superconductors new states with spontaneous spin polarization of quasiparticles can exist due to the Fermi-liquid exchange interaction. The stability o) r both polarized and unpolarized nonequilibrium states with respect to small and finite fluctuations is discussed. It is shown that the nonequilibrium states of superconductors generated by the pumping of quasiparticles may be unstable with respect to both unpolarized and polarized finite fluctuations. BN(O)Ao.

We analyze the local density of states (LDOS) of heterostructures consisting of alternating ferromagnet, F, and superconductor, S, layers. We consider structures of the SFS and SFSFSFS type, with thin nanometer scale F and S layers, within the ballistic regime. The spin-splitting effects of the ferr
