✦ Synopsis
The molecular dynamics of CS2 are investigated in binary liquid solutions with alkane solvents of varying viscosity. The nondiffusive, subpicosecond nuclear responses reveal the influence of many-body effects as they are manifested in the changing local intermolecular potentials on dilution and the role of dynamical fluctuations of these potentials that occur on a time scale of r 425 fs.
