โฆ Synopsis
AP&T Advanced Products and Technologies has changed its name to Ferrofluidics.
The UK and German companies are now renamed as Ferrofluidics Limited and Ferrofluidics GmbH, respectively.
Tbe re-naming builds on the established name of the company's core technology and its parent company, Ferrofluidics Corporation to promote a common identity worldwide. For some time now, the companies around the world have been working more closely together to ensure better communication of customer requirements to manufacturing sites in the US and Germany.
Through better integration with Ferrofluidics Corporation, the UK and German companies are combining the benefits of local sales and service, with the expertise of the parent company to reinforce Ferrofluidics position in the market.

Flexitallic passes cost savings on to customers
Flexitallic has announced that its customers have realised cost savings up to 15% on its Sigma PTFE-based sealing material during its first six months of manufacturing in the US.
Michael Berry, president of Flexitallic LP, attributed the savings to lower freight fees and the elimination of duty charges, and commented that the company was pleased to be able to pass this cost saving opportunity on to its customers.
The Flexitallic Group began manufacturing the sheet sealing material at its Houston, Texas facility in December 1997, following its success in manufacturing and marketing the product at its Flexitallic Ltd plant in the UK.
