✦ Synopsis

its 1.2 M tonne/y hydrocracking unit, which uses DZN pre-refining catalysts developed at the company's Research Institute. The catalysts offer stable hydrocracking operations, increasing efficiency and the quality of end products.

China Chemical Reporter, 26 Nov 2004, 15 (33), 13 Axens provides biodiesel technology to a new plant in France Diester Industrie has chosen Axens' biodiesel technology, Esterfip-H, for a new plant in Sète, France. The plant, reportedly the first of a kind, uses heterogeneous catalyst technology. The French Institute of Petroleum developed Axens' technology. Design and commercialisation was done by Axens. The new plant is slated to be commissioned in 4Q 2005. The produced biodiesel, which will comply with European specification EN 14214, directly yields high-purity glycerin as a byproduct. It will have a 160,000 tonne/y FAME production capacity.
