Recent extension of the Ercall Quarry, Shropshire, has revealed an unconformable contact between the Ercall Granophyre and overlying Lower Cambrian sediments. Five metres of basal conglomerate with rare granophyre clasts overlie a weathered granophyre surface and precludes the possibility that the g
