✦ Synopsis

Sara runs a vintage-clothing sale-and-repair business, but her world is threatened when a mysterious force invades her warehouse, destroys her security system, and leaves behind a demand for money. She tries to make contact with other traders in the community, but nobody wants to talk… Then one of them dies, apparently defending his home against the same mysterious force. In the ghetto, gang-leader “KR” is shaken by the homicide. His goal of a steady income from protection money is failing to gain traction, and his powerful military robot, Fatboy, is becoming increasingly erratic. Rival gangs, and corrupt cops, are on KR’s case, shaking up his family, adding to the pressure. And Fatboy itself, seeing the situation in terms of warfare, and lining up its unique powers against KR’s enemies, is about to drive the conflict into a new dimension…
