We report a light scattering study of the complex dynamics of two salt-in-polymer electrolyte systems. One of these, NaCF,SO, + PPG 4000, has been the subject of considerable previous study, while the second, Mg(ClO,), + PPG 4000, is little known and proves to be novel in its behavior. The measureme

Abstract
Based upon an analysis of the absorption spectra, the fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra, and the lifetime of the excited states of aqueous solutions (pH 7.4) of 2,3โdimethoxyโ8โazagonaโ1,3,5(10),13โtetraeneโ12,17โdione, it is established that two centers of different type exist: one emits longโwave (Lโcenters) and the other shortโwave (Sโcenters) fluorescence. Irradiation of solutions increases the number of Lโcenters and greatly decreases that of Sโcenters. Examination of the picosecond transient absorption spectra and their kinetics revealed that the initial photochemical stage is defined as the ionization of a considered molecule and the subsequent one, as the formation, most probably, of the dehydroderivative of a parent molecule. ยฉ 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
