From the moment they reach the rocky shoreline, the two girls encounter a monster of a man named Cain, whose main job is to find food for the local preacher and his congregation. And Cain is very good at his job.
As an entire city is reduced to a bonfire of decaying bodies burning in the street, Calla and April have to find a way to survive when all hope seems to be lost. But will it be possible when two very different worlds, the futuristic city of Ancada and the dystopian mainland, are both trying to capture them?
