✦ Synopsis
We are pleased to learn of another case of colchicine myoneuropathy with myotonic discharges on electromyography. This patient has many similarities to the 4 individuals we presented, including the presence of chronic renal insufficiency, mild progressive weakness, and rapid improvement in strength and resolution of myotonic discharges with discontinuation of the drug. Like the majority of our cases, this patient had neither signs nor symptoms of myotonia. This case helps underscore the usefulness of recognizing these discharges in patients with possible colchicine myoneuropathy.
