Abstract
We have investigated the effect of topically applied high molecular weight nerve growth factor (HMWβNGF) and 7S nerve growth factor (7S NGF) on healing of fullβthickness skin wounds in the Syrian hamster. Our results indicate that HMWβNGF and 7S NGF have no significant influence on the rate of wound contraction or on the time to complete healing in this animal model.

## Abstract Despite advances in surgical technique, rotator cuff repairs are plagued by a high rate of failure. This failure rate is in part due to poor tendonβtoβbone healing; rather than regeneration of a fibrocartilaginous attachment, the repair is filled with disorganized fibrovascular (scar) t

Melanoma invasion requires migration through the vascular barrier. An early event in this process is the adhesion of metastatic cells to the endothelium. To elucidate the role of TGF-β€ in the regulation of this process, human melanoma SK-MEL24 cells were labelled with [5Π-3 H]-thymidine and co-cultu
An experimental model for local administration of neurotrophic growth factor (NGF) in peripheral nerve lesions is tested. The model consists of a subcutaneous reservoir connected to the sciatic nerve neurorrhaphy. The right sciatic nerves were exposed, severed, and repaired at a level 1.5 cm proxima
## Abstract The response of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) neurons to NGF deprivation and to axotomy was examined in adult guinea pigs. The success of NGF deprivation by means of an autoimmune approach was monitored by the measurement of serum antibody titer levels against guinea pig NGF with the standa
