β¦ Synopsis
A factor analysis method was adopted for identification of background common factor5 responsible for the greater part of the total variance of the measured physical properties of samples taken from graphite electrodes from IO production sources. The factors were interpreted as a manifestation of: I) impregnation, 2) mixture formulation and, 3) filler coke quality. Contributions of particular factors to the properties of various types of electrodes were estimated.
