Abstract
Urea derivatives were readily synthesized in good yields under quite mild conditions, i.e., at ambient pressure and room temperature by sulfurโassisted carbonylation of primary amines with carbon monoxide followed by oxidation of the resulting ammonium thiocarbamates with molecular oxygen.
