Facile Synthesis of C 2 -Symmetric Tridentate Bis(thiazoline) and Bis(oxazoline) Ligands and their Application in the Enantioselective Henry Reaction. -A variety of bis(thiazoline) (I) and bis(oxazoline) (II) ligands is prepared and tested in the asymmetric Henry reaction. Generally, best results are achieved with Cu(O-Tf)2 as catalyst, while the opposite enantiomer of the product is formed in the presence of Zn(O-Tf) 2 . The yield and enantioselectivity is influenced by the substitution pattern of the ligand but no clear trend is to be seen.

## Abstract A series of both symmetric and non‐symmetric bis(oxazoline) ligands was applied in the Nozaki–Hiyama allylation and crotylation of benzaldehyde. It was found that both the magnitude and sense of the asymmetric induction depended strongly on the nature and combination of the oxazoline su
