Abstract

A new method for the preparation of 4‐substituted 3,4‐dihydro‐1__H__‐2,1,3‐benzothiadiazine 2,2‐dioxides is described. Treatment of t‐butyl N‐phenylsulfamoylcarbamate derivatives (1) with different aldehydes afforded the corresponding intramolecular cyclized products 2 under trifluoroacetic acid conditions. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
