## Abstract Novel films based on hydroxyl terminated hyperbranched poly (amine‐ester) (HPAE‐OH) of different generation were prepared by crosslinking the terminal hydroxyl groups of HPAE with glutaraldehyde (GA). The progress of crosslinking reaction was characterized by Fourier transform infrared
