## Abstract Optical and luminescence properties of the Bridgman‐grown Cd~1–__x__ –__y__~ Be__~x~__ Zn__~y~__ Se and Zn~1–__x__ –__y__~ Be__~x~__ Mg__~y~__ Se crystals are reported. Spectroscopic ellipsometry was employed for determination of spectral dependence of the complex dielectric function $
