Thin films of superconducting TmBaaCu3OT_ 6 have been deposited on (100) MgO substrates by pulsed-laser deposition. The zero-resistance temperatures achieved were, typically, T~o= 88 K and the critical current densities, jc (77 K), in excess of I0 e A/ cm 2.
