## Abstract A simple method for chemically synthesizing PANI inverse opals by templating colloidal crystals is presented. The use of dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid resulted in structures with reduced shrinkage, allowing the position of the optical stop band to be tuned. The conductivity of the invers
