Close to 20,000 therapists world-wide have been trained in a revolutionary new method of psychotherapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Yet many therapists remain skeptical: after all, our profession regularly falls prey to extraordinary therapeutic claims of new fads and waving one's fingers in front of a patient hardly seems like a serious enterprise.
