โฆ Synopsis
Health care professionals often learn and improve processes through the experiences of internal successes. Many of the lessons learned from internal successes are applicable to individuals and organizations outside of originating organizations. Health care organizations that plan, organize, and deliver creative and effective internal educational offerings are well positioned to expand the learning milieu to health care professionals outside of their customary work settings. Recognition of appropriateness and applicability of these internal successes to external audiences can be enhanced through the development of a formal externalization program model and matrix. Constructing professional education externalization models built upon underlying internal educational program missions is a cost-effective method to expand the educational mission of the organization and meet identified needs of the health care community.
