✦ Synopsis
the standard scheme. The initial excitation is a spatial Gaussian pulse at t s 0, and the maximum of the pulse is located at the center of the computing domain. The computational domain is divided into 2000 cells, and AAL is 10 cells thick.
In Figure 1, reflections from the right end are compared. It shows that the AAL has reduced reflection significantly.
Ž . In this letter, an efficient absorbing layer AAL is proposed for the wave-equation FDTD. Numerical results show its high efficiency in absorbing the waves. It can be extended to multidimensional problems.
