✦ Synopsis
Unintended interactions between different telephony services are a common phenomenon in today's telephony networks. Solutions exist to mediate such conflicts between network-hosted services. However, with the advent of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), services that have traditionally been provided by the network may now also run on intelligent VoIP endpoints, which typically cannot be controlled by the network. In this letter, we discuss how service mediation can be extended to VoIP endpoints.
