โœฆ Synopsis

The Convertor II cartridge mechanical seal has now gained a worldwide ready acceptance by plant and maintenance personnel, according to manufacturers, AES Engineering Ltd.

Used in both new installations and to replace packings or two piece seals, the standard duty Convertor II size range has been extended to fit shaft/sleeve sizes up to 4" (100 mm).

The new and larger Converter II seals are readily available in the same material combinations as the smaller seals and have been developed using the same high technology FEA programme to ensure optimum performance. All AES cartridge mechanical seals are statically tested (to 8 bar) for leak free operation and pre-assembled to their precise working length to facilitate installation and give extended pump life.

The profile of the Convertor II enables this balanced seal to be fitted in a wider range of rotating equipment without modification.
