Abstract
We present here an extension of the near‐field matrix iterative preconditioner applied in the context of the Nested FMM‐FFT algorithm, which is a bilevel variation of the original FMM‐FFT. The new preconditioner benefits from the nested scheme to extend the information of the near‐field matrix, then allowing to achieve a closer approximation to the complete EM problem. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
