✦ Synopsis

Let ᒍ be a parabolic subalgebra in a semisimple Lie algebra α’„. We study the Ε½ . module M induced from a one-dimensional ᒍ-module of weight . Let U s ᒍ Ε½ . Ε½ . U α’„ rI be the quotient of the enveloping algebra U α’„ by the annihilator I of the generic module induced from ᒍ. Let Z denote the integral closure of the center Z ˜˜Ž . w x of U, and U s ZU. Then M is not only a U-module, but even a U-module 1 , ᒍ so its central character Z Βͺ ‫ރ‬ extends to a central character Z Βͺ ‫.ރ‬ We prove that this extended central character is useful: It is unique if and only if Dixmier's map is injective. Moreover, the ''modified Dixmier-map'' of the author's work Ε½ . 1998, Abh. Math. Sem. UniΒ¨. Hamburg 68, 25᎐44 from the sheet SrG determined by ᒍ into the space α‘² of minimal primitive ideals of U is a homeomor-Ε¨ Ε½ . phism SrG Βͺ α‘² given by O O Β¬ Ann M . As an application, we obtain the Ε¨ ᒍ following result related to Duflo's theorem that minimal primitive ideals are Δ©nduced and centrally generated: Each minimal primitive ideal J of U is induced and ''almost'' generated by its intersection α’Š with the center, in the sense that ' J s α’ŠU . As further application of the main theorem we get results on the well-definedness of Dixmier's map. ᒍ UΕ½ ᒍ .

We investigated the utility of two approaches for exploiting pleiotropy to search for genes influencing related traits. To do this we first assessed the genetic correlations among a set of five closely related quantitative traits (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5). We then used the genetic correlations among thes

In these lectures we give a geometrical formulation of N-extended supergravities which generalizes N 2 special geometry of N 2 theories. In all these theories duality symmetries are related to the notion of Βͺflat symplectic bundlesΒΊ and central charges may be defined as ΒͺsectionsΒΊ over these bundle

The induction of the early gene c-fos was evaluated through Fos immunohistochemistry in areas belonging to the extended amygdala after acute administration of two antidepressants, citalopram and imipramine. Both citalopram and imipramine at the dose of 5 and 20 mg/kg, respectively, induced Fos-like

The derivation of absolute (moduli-independent) U-invariants for all N > 2 extended supergravities at D = 4 in terms of (moduli-dependent) central and matter charges is reported. These invariants give a general denition of the \topological" Bekenstein{Hawking entropy formula for extremal black-holes
