Surveillance colonoscopy and biopsy are inaccurate methods of predicting the likelihood of ulcerative colitis patients to develop colon carcinoma. We examined uPA and PAI-1 as potential markers for assessing these patients and those with familial polyposis who are at risk of developing colon cancer.

## Abstract The involvement of the urokinaseβtype plasminogen activator (uPA) system in particular has been extensively studied in the pathogenesis of cancer. The molecular role of the uPA receptor (uPAR) is well characterized with its participation in cell migration and extracellular matrix (ECM)
## Abstract The plasminogenβactivating (PA) and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) enzyme systems are implicated in proteolytic turnover of the extracellular matrix (ECM) associated with biologic processes including wound healing, inflammation and angiogenesis. Aberrant expression of components of the
## Background: Urokinase-type plasminogen activator (upa) plays an important role in the destruction of the extracellular matrix and basement membrane around cancer cells. in the current study, the authors investigated upa expression in cancer cells and stromal cells in patients with gastric carcin
## Background and objectives: Urokinase type plasminogen activator (upa) regulates a variety of processes involved in tissue morphogenesis, cell differentiation, migration and invasion. we analyzed the available informations to better interpret the pathogenetic relationship between upa activity and
