## Abstract Patients with polyglutamine expansion diseases, like Huntington's disease or several spinocerebellar ataxias, first present with neurological symptoms that can occur in the absence of neurodegeneration. Behavioral symptoms thus appear to be caused by neuronal dysfunction, rather than ce
