โฆ Synopsis
A description of acceptance charts, which use subgroup averages, was published by Freund in 1957 (Industrial Quality Control 1957; (October): 13-23). The purpose of these charts is to evaluate a process in terms of whether or not it could be expected to satisfy product tolerances. This paper combines the acceptance chart concept with the exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA). An example is included to illustrate the proposed concept.
