## Abstract Compaction of aluminium, iron and tungsten powders of particle size 300 BSS has been studied by axisymmetrical geometry. Optimum explosive to powder mass ratio (E/M) to attain maximum density of compact has been determined for different tube diameters in each case. It has been observed
