Abstract
The potentials of unconventional capillary columns, e.g. flat, crinkled, whisker and helically coiled open‐tubular columns (HOT columns) were evaluated. In comparison to circular columns, no improvement in the column performance, when used under normal capillary GC circumstances, could be observed.
