m A flow regime map for the vertical downward air-water system is proposed. Three distinguished flow regimes are observed: annular, slug, and bubblyโ€ข The map is compared quantitatively with two other maps from the available literature. The transition boundaries between the three flow regimes are estimated on the basis of void fraction values.
