✦ Synopsis
We test the uctuation theorem from measurements in turbulent ows. We study the time uctuations of the force acting on an obstacle, and we consider two experimental situations: the case of a von Kà armà an swirling ow between counter-rotating disks and the case of a wind tunnel jet. We ÿrst study the symmetries implied by the Gallavotti-Cohen uctuation theorem (FT) on the probability density distributions of the force uctuations; we then test the Sinai scaling. We observe that in both experiments the symmetries implied by the FT are well veriÿed, whereas the Sinai scaling is established, as expected, only for long times.

## Abstract The purpose of this report is to indicate the presence of high‐frequency pressure fluctuations that are superimposed upon intra‐arterial pressure curves in man, and to establish their significance as an indication of the presence of turbulent blood flow. Intracardiac pressure was obtain
