## Abstract Liquid – liquid extraction with __N__‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone, combined with solid‐phase extraction on silica gel using __n__‐pentane and dichloromethane as solvents, has been used for the isolation and concentration of the aromatic fraction from lubricating oil. The identification of ind
