✦ Synopsis

Some experimental study results of three--titling--pad: serf--acting journal gas bearing expansion turbine are described in this paper. An experimental expansion turbine is introduced. Based on the experiments, some experimental curves of the turbine instability versus various bearing parameters have been obtained. The turbine has been stably operated at 28 X 104 rpm.
