## Abstract The highโtemperature pyrolysis and oxidation of chloroethane were studied behind reflected shock waves using singleโpulse, timeโresolved IR absorption (3.39 ฮผm), timeโresolved UV absorption (306.7 nm), and timeโresolved IR emission (4.24 ฮผm) methods. The studies were performed over the
