โฆ Synopsis
Liquid desiccant cooling systems are being explored as an alternative to the conventional vapor compression systems. The dehumidiยฎer and the regenerator form the heart of these systems. A falling ยฎlm tubular absorber and a falling ยฎlm plate regenerator have been studied experimentally. The experimental results have been compared with the predictions from theoretical models. Two wetness factors to account for the improper wetting of exchanger surfaces have been deยฎned and estimated. After taking these factors into account, the theoretical models predict the experimental data within 230%.

## Abstract An analytical solution of simultaneous heat and mass transfer processes in a packed bed liquid desiccant dehumidifier/regenerator is developed. Various dimensionless parameters and reliable assumptions are used in order to develop this solution. The outlet parameters predicted with the
The system consists of three independent subsystems, which were built on the upper roof and the two sides of the conditioned house. Basically, during one 24 h cycle, each subsystem undergoes a regeneration process when it is exposed to sunlight and undergoes a dehumidification process when it is cov
A finite difference model describing simultaneous heat and mass transfer in a hybrid liquid desiccant cooling system is presented in this paper. This type of system provides cooled and dehumidified air by a combination of a packed absorber tower and a conventional vapour compression system. The mode
