✦ Synopsis

New experimental results on the production of 4~ and f~(1525) mesons in the annihilation of stopped antiprotons are discussed. The explanation of these facts in the framework of polarized strangeness model is considered.

The coupled-channel Giessen Model is used to investigate meson production on the nucleon simultaneously in reactions with hadrons and the photon. The essential aspects of the model are discussed. Results for strangeness producing K Ξ› reactions on the proton and eta photoproduction on the proton and
