This paper reports a parametric stress analysis of various configurations of rack plate stiffened multi-planar welded KK joints using the finite element method. The KK joint finds application in the leg structure of offshore oil and gas jack-up platforms. The rack plate works as a stiffener which re

In this note, 3D measurement is introduced by the white light speckle method in order to measure stress concentration factors in tubular joints. The experimental results for 7"-and Y-type tubular joints are compared with finite element results and are found to be in a good agreement.

Fundamental flame response in a stretched and curved flow field is investigated in a unique optically accessible tubular burner. Time-averaged, one-dimensional spatially resolved temperature and major species measurements are obtained in a set of stretched, โ€ซืกโ€ฌ 0.175 premixed H 2 /air tubular flames
