✦ Synopsis

Gas-phase ioniation potentials of tetraphenylporphine and some metallotetraphenylporphines have been determined by the method of photocurrent measurements in nonpolar solvents reported previously [ 11. The values obtained range from 5.9 to 6.3 eV, depending on the central metal ion, correlating weti with the reported polarographic oxidation potenti&. It hns been concluded that photoelectron ejection from these complexes in isooctane occurs from the porphyrin a-system in all QSCS inciudiq Co(li) tetraphanylporphine, in which the electron is thou&t to be removed from the meta in polar solvents.

The behaviour of stoiehiometrie ketene-oxygen mixtures (CH2CO:20...) was studit,d for initial temperatures and total pressures ranging from 280' to 440"C and from 50 to 250 mm of mercury. Limits of slow combustion, cool Ilames and explosion were determined. The products of incomnlete slow combLstion
