✦ Synopsis

The Compton profil: for gaseous NT has been measured using 59.54 keV v-rays from a 2".4m source. The results are found to agree with the earlier experimental dsta and with the theoretical pr&k calculsted from Hartree--Fock wavefunctions. Disagreement belween the expzrimcntal results and the theoretical Compton profile obttined from the wpvefunctions calculated in B minimal basis of Slater type orbitals with valence shell configuration interaction is distinct.

The Compton profdes of the geometrΓ―c Γ―somers cis and trans-2-butene (CaHa) have been measured in the gas phase using 59.54 keV =oamma rays. The measured profdes are compared with profdes derived from SCF end LM0 modeIs. NO significant differences between the measured profdes are observed. However, c
