✦ Synopsis
We discuss the Kondo effect in the Anderson model dynamically coupled with two different types of local phonons by using a numerical renormalization group method. For Jahn-Teller phonon, a characteristic temperature T Ã is found to be monotonically decreased with increasing electron-phonon coupling constant a, while for Holstein phonon, T Ã is increased with the increase of a and it takes maximum when the Coulomb interaction competes with the phonon-mediated attraction. The Kondo behavior in such a competing region is discussed in detail.
