✦ Synopsis

In this paper, we prove the existence of solutions of a nonlinear extensible beam model represented by second-order ordinary differential equations in Banach spaces. The results are obtained by using the theory of a strongly continuous cosine family of bounded linear operators and the Schaefer fixed-point theorem.
