We prove existence, in a small time interval, of a classical solution having a regular free boundary, (i.e. the level set +u"0,) of a multidimensional filtration problem. The key point to get the regularity of the level set +u"0, is the proof of an a priori estimate for the ΒΈ-norm of u R .

## Communicated by P. Colli We discuss a moving boundary problem arising from a model of gas ionization in the case of negligible electron diffusion and suitable initial data. It describes the time evolution of an ionization front. Mathematically, it can be considered as a system of transport equa
## Abstract In this paper the nonlinear viscoelastic wave equation in canonical form equation image with Dirichlet boundary condition is considered. By introducing a new functional and using the potential well method, we show that the damping induced by the viscoelastic term is enough to ensure g
