The beta-adrenergic receptor, transduction processes and catalytic activity of the adenylate cyclase enzyme complex have been investigated in rabbit heart at different stages of biological maturation. The binding of [3H]-dihydroalprenolol to a washed membrane preparation isolated from rabbit ventric
