β¦ Synopsis
Exclusive photoproduction of dileptons, Ξ³p β + -p, will be measured in ultraperipheral collisions at LHC. The mechanism where the lepton pair comes from a heavy timelike photon radiated from a quark interferes with the pure QED process Ξ³Ξ³ β + -. As an analog of deeply virtual Compton scattering, this timelike Compton scattering is a way to study generalized parton distributions in the nucleon or the nucleus. High energy kinematics will enable to focus on gluon distributions. Nuclear effects may be scrutinized in heavy-ion collisions.

In this paper the precision of the theoretical control of the lepton pair production processes in proton-proton collisions is analysed and an optimal kinematic region is proposed for the precision luminosity measurement at the LHC collider.
In the present report, let us address the issues related to simulation of decays for particle embodied in full production and decay chains of Monte Carlo programs set-up for experiments such as at LHC or LC. Both technical issues related to the way how the events may be stored in event records and i
