A compact Sco'tIliIr dererminant is derived for the frequencies of cxciton transitions of a helical polymer containing ar! arbitrary number of substit~Itio~~1 impurjties. The dipole 3pp~o~~in~tion is used for 211 intermclecutar inrersclions. Gil transitions from the ground state of the monomers and impurities arc included in the theory. The. nature of the impurities is arbifrary and they may all be different.
